The former community tools package is not required for the examples in this documentation. Use [vended tools](/pr-cms-5569/docs/user-guide/sdk/tools/vended-tools/index.md) for common file, shell, HTTP, notebook, sleep, stop, and web-fetch capabilities maintained with the SDK.

For capabilities that do not have a vended equivalent, use one of these supported extension points:

-   Write a [custom tool](/pr-cms-5569/docs/user-guide/sdk/tools/custom-tools/index.md).
-   Connect an [MCP server](/pr-cms-5569/docs/user-guide/sdk/tools/mcp-tools/index.md).
-   Use the SDK-native [Graph](/pr-cms-5569/docs/user-guide/sdk/multi-agent/graph/index.md), [Swarm](/pr-cms-5569/docs/user-guide/sdk/multi-agent/swarm/index.md), or [agents-as-tools](/pr-cms-5569/docs/user-guide/sdk/multi-agent/agents-as-tools/index.md) APIs.
-   Use [`A2AAgent`](/pr-cms-5569/docs/user-guide/sdk/multi-agent/agent-to-agent/index.md) for remote agents.

This keeps examples portable across Python and TypeScript and ties their lifecycle to the SDK version you install.
